I received my 225-Hour certification from Holy Yoga. I was absolutely hooked at the first class, registered for training right away, and I have not looked back! For me, yoga is a sacred time to practice life within the four corners of my mat. It has been healing for me in many ways. I love teaching groups or private classes. My husband made me a studio in our home and it is my sanctuary. Incorporating aromatherapy and touch is something I have found greatly enhances the experience for everybody. Currently I am also enrolled in a 300-hour yoga therapy course. It’s teaching me more about anatomy and the wonders in the human body. The greatest benefit so far has been the improvement in my own body, but also being able to help my students who have different limitations or concerns. I’ve been able to bring yoga and its benefits to people who were positive they would not be able to do it and that is very rewarding! Our bodies are amazing! Learning more about them is a never-ending journey!

Living a healthy lifestyle has always been important to me, and once I tried my first yoga class I was hooked. I received my 200-hour certification through CorePower Yoga last May, and am a registered yoga teacher through the Yoga Alliance. There are countless physical benefits that come from practicing yoga. However, my favorite part of yoga is how it helps to still the mind and find inner strength and peace within. Practicing yoga has enabled me to find confidence and self-awareness like never before. When not practicing or teaching yoga, I work in marketing for a non-profit student exchange organization. Outside of work and yoga, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling to new places, running, and doing anything that involves being artistic and creative. I look forward to sharing my passion for yoga with my students, and am so excited to be a part of the Platinum Yoga community!

I love teaching at Platinum Yoga!!! One of the best things about platinum yoga that you don’t find at other fitness facilities is the bond that you develop with your fellow class mates and students. It’s a great place to work out and make new friends; you look forward to seeing everyone and help push them to achieve their fitness goals. Health and wellness have always been a passion of mine. When not working out or teaching Yoga I help people achieve their oral hygiene needs as a hygienist. My husband and I enjoy kayaking, biking, camping and riding our motorcycles.

I fell in love with yoga about a year ago. I suffered a serious neck injury and was hesitant to start a exercise routine. My Dr had suggested for me to try a yoga class. I was hooked from day one! At first, yoga for me was a way to get my body moving again and the more I practiced the "deeper" my interest became. I signed up for the 200hour vinyasa teacher training, and learned more about myself in 13 weeks than in my entire life! It was a beautiful experience. I feel very fortunate to be part of Platinum Yoga. I look forward to guiding my students through their yoga journey.

Yoga awakens the spirit, offers a peaceful contentment, quiets the mind and grounds the soul. Practicing yoga is life changing, and it is my passion to enlighten this journey in others. I completed my 230-hour yoga study/teacher training certification with the Yoga Center of Minneapolis. I am certified in Restorative Yoga, and I have a RYT 200 designation with the Yoga Alliance Registry. I also work in the healthcare field and understand the importance of the mind-body connection as well as integrating health and wellness with a fitness lifestyle. I am blessed to be part of the Platinum Yoga team!

Rhonda Schauer
Rhonda Schauer
Rhonda knew it was love by the end of her first Iyengar class in 2001. Never before had she felt such peace. Since then, she has tried a variety of styles of yoga, and discovered Vinyasa in 2009. She’s been hooked ever since. The challenging, trans formative, and yet accessible nature of the practice has taught her countless lessons about the breath, the mind, and life; about acceptance, awareness, and love, and strength that comes from within. “Through the breath, yoga helps to calm and focus my mind, and connects me to myself and others. I am totally inspired by being in the presence of like minded people.” She loves that yoga encourages her to be a spiritual seeker, and knew that teaching was going to be a part of her practice years before she ever pursued training. She is excited to share her passion for the practice and the peace it creates both on and off the mat.
Diane Ghuran
Diane Ghuran started practicing yoga for the physical benefits, and quickly discovered the mental and emotional benefits as well. After 5 years of practice, she decided to embark upon teacher training. She completed her 200 hour Vinyasa training and 50 hour Extension program. Diane also completed her Yoga Sculpt training; making her certified to teach 2 different forms of yoga (Vinyasa and Sculpt Yoga). She loves to use her creativity and enthusiasm as a yoga teacher. Yoga has been extremely healing in her life. Learning to live in the present moment has allowed her to create balance and find peace in every aspect of her life. With her focus on proper alignment and form, Diane helps students modify their movement and honor their body while building length and strength. Diane enjoys seeing the change in people when they enter a yoga class, and when the leave- sweaty, open and joyful. When not on the yoga mat, she is teaching kids how to grow and thrive for a good outcome. She is also a mother of one.
